THE ROAD OF THE PIEDMONT GREAT WINES
- 2 days/1 night -
possibility of a guide only for groups of, at least, 10 people
The wine route of the Langhe in which art, culture, and food and wine come together in a perfect union
1st day: arrival in Barolo by own vehicle or by hired bus. Visit of the WiMu, Museum of Wine, a historical, artistic and multimedia exhibition space dedicated to wine and the enoic civilization, located in the halls of the 13th century castle of the Falletti family. Free time at your disposal to explore the ancient village of Barolo, with its narrow streets full of history and charm. Then, direction Montelupo Albese for lunch in a farmhouse with a typical Langhe menu from appetizers to desserts.
After lunch, a short walk to the Big Bench nr. 100, where you can admire a wonderful landscape, feeling like children. Finally, La Morra to admire the famous Belvedere and reach the Brunate Chapel, with the famous wall drawing by the English artist David Tremlett.
At the end, direction Cherasco for check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
2nd day: after breakfast, arrival in Neive by own vehicle or hired bus. Medieval village, included among the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy, has remained practically intact and, although remodeled over the centuries, never touched by contemporary urbanization. The wealth of Neive is due to the activities related to the wine and to food and wine tourism, as it is the home of the 4 wines, Barbaresco, Barbera, Moscato and Dolcetto, which we will taste with a visit to the cellar. An open-air walk between art and historic buildings, rigorously at a slow pace, where the focus is on Baroque houses and villas with gardens. After lunch in a restaurant with a typical Langhe menu, towards the panoramic viewpoint of Trezzo Tinella, where the symbolic statue of the "Woman of Langa" is located. Finally, descent towards Barbaresco, to fully enjoy the 360 ​​° view from the top of its city tower and stroll along the narrow streets of its historic center, full of charm and tradition, to go shopping in one of the many artisan shops.
